Whatever Will I Wear At Thanksgiving Dinner?

If your family is anything like mine, there will most likely be a camera at Thanksgiving, this means, pictures will be taken of you stuffing that third roll into your mouth. If that isn't flattering then what is? Your outfit! Who doesn't want their outfit to look great in pictures, even if the picture catches you eating that extra piece of pie? Here are some ideas and tips for your Thanksgiving dinner outfit.

I love (and own) this sweater! It's comfy, cute and goes great with any type of jeans. I suggest buying it in the deep green, seeing as the military colors are in this fall. I suggest wearing this sweater with some nice, brown shoes (either boots or some kind of short, dressy heel), and this necklace.

Product Image Mossimo Supply Co. Juniors Flannel Top - Purple/Grey Plaid
This shirt is very warm and casual. I love plaid! This flannel shirt comes in many different colors, so buy the one that best describes you! It can be worn with any kind of jeans and is best with flats.

Miley Cyrus & Max Azria - Juniors Necklace Tee
I hate to admit it but, Miley does have a cute clothing line and for a nice price. This shirt needs no accessories because it comes with one! This shirt comes in purple, grey and black and is best worn with dark wash jeans or dress pants. Have fun with the shoes!!

Juniors Gathered Bottom Party Dress
Am I the only one to be shocked at finding this dress at Wal-Mart?? It goes a few inches above the knee and be worn with nice, thin pantyhose and heels or boots. It can be paired with silver jewelry and a sweater or jacket of your choice!

I had this article written out a week ago and today, I would like to add this little note. This blog is dedicated to helping young ladies be fashionable, but modest. We are to uphold this because our body is the temple of the living God. I must admit, these past 2 months I have not been as modest as I usually am. I made some mistakes but honestly, I didn't care then. A friend confronted me yesterday and told me that they saw that I was 'slipping'. After looking back at what I had wore, I realized that I wasn't caring like I use too.

Girls, I do not want this to happen to you. Always always ALWAYS remember your values. Learn from my past mistakes. I shamefully regret some of my choices. They were not major major, but still...

Have a lovely Thanksgiving ladies!

  1. It's inspiring to see that your heart is soft, & I admire your friend for coming to you. I slip sometimes too, but it's great that we don't have to stay down! Plus, we learn from it & prevents us from making even BIGGER mistakes. I will keep this in mind when looking for my thanksgiving outfit!
    Lots of love,

  4. That dress you posted certainly isn't modest. It's above the knee! I thought this blog was devoted to modesty...not showing as much leg as possible. I'll be taking it off my recommended list on my blog.

  5. Katy-Anne, What verse say this because in all my studies on modesty I have never come across it. Please tell me which verse.
